Betsy was raised in Roanoke, Virginia, and is a graduate of Patrick Henry High School. She earned her BBA in International Business from the University of Georgia and has been in the insurance industry since 2001. Betsy holds both the CLU and ChFC designations from The American College, reflecting her commitment to professional excellence and continued education.

Deeply rooted in the community, Betsy a member of the Mill Mountain Garden Club of Roanoke, and an active member of the PTA at Crystal Spring Elementary and The Patrick Henry Athletic Booster Association. Betsy is a sustainer of the Junior League of Roanoke Valley. She is married to Ben Thomas and is the proud mother of two sons. Supporting families and staying involved locally are values that shape both her personal life and the way she serves her customers.
